AEMI's History
AEMI was founded in 1980 by Mr. Gabriel Sanchez and Mr. Leland Hemming, author of the industry standard Electromagnetic Anechoic Chambers: A Fundamental Design and Specification Guide. Due to AEMI’s position as an industry leader, it was acquired by ORBIT/FR in 1997.
In 2008, AEMI and ORBIT/FR joined SATIMO, creating The Microwave Vision Group (MVG). Together, the MVG provides measurement and test solutions for the telecommunications, automotive, academic & research, aerospace, and defense markets. We offer fully integrated solutions.
AEMI provides absorbers that have been refined over 3 decades, meeting or exceeding all regulatory and functional requirements. A testament to AEMI’s product durability and reliability is the long life of AEMI’s installations: many chambers maintain their performance characteristics with no degradation 15 to 20 years after their inception.
